You venture out into the winter wonderland after a fresh layer of snow, knowing it’s time for the tractor to shine. Some people swear by blades, others are loyal to blowers, and plenty just grab the bucket. What’s your favorite way to clear the snow?

I have a 50 inch front mounted blower, a bucket, and a 7 foot blade in back. I find the blade will only plow the snow until the windrow on the edge gets so high, and then it won't throw it high enough. I also have a plow truck so I use that mostly to plow the mile and a half of drives that I maintain. I keep the bucket on to use making fire wood. I have yet to mount the blower.

That’s a solid setup. It really makes sense to use the truck for those longer journeys and keep the bucket on the tractor for firewood. And hey, you’ll find a use for that blower before you know it.

you've got plenty of choices no doubt about it. Once you get that blower installed it’s going to shake things up for you esp when those profits start rolling in as the season progresses
