Getting your snow blower ready for the winter season is essential. As you face another round of heavy snowfall, it’s time to give that blower some TLC. A little preparation now can save you from a lot of trouble down the road. Whether it’s checking the belts, topping off the fuel, or sharpening the blades, everyone has their own go-to maintenance list.

What are your top tips for keeping your snow blower in tip-top shape all winter long?

Found out the hard way when my blower belt broke in the middle of a snowstorm. Now, before winter, I make sure to check the belts and have an extra one ready.

One year, I didn't sharpen the blades, and it felt like I was pushing my way through cement. Now, I always sharpen them before the first snow it's the most important thing.

I remember this storm where my blower wouldn’t crank up 'cause I left old gas in it for too long. I had to shovel the whole thing by hand that day. Now, before winter comes I drain the tank fill it with new gas and grease up all the moving parts. It keeps things running great every year.
