I wasn't even midway uphill when my Kubota L2502 started sputtering, engine felt like shutting down.. first time it happened since getting it over a year ago.

I've changed oils and filters, and it still doesn't have the power to go up a steep hill.

What could be the problem?

Loss of power uphill could point to a fuel delivery issue like a clogged fuel filter or air in the fuel lines. Might also be worth checking for debris in the fuel tank or inspecting the air intake system for blockages. Have you noticed any unusual smoke or changes in RPM?

Agreeing with @prestigious-iceberg77, it might be the fuel filter. You said you changed it? So it must be something related to the fuel but not that. Better bring it to the repair person, I'm quite scared whenever it's related to transmission or fuel or something.

Sounds like a fuel issue could be the culprit! Since you've changed the filter, check the fuel lines for leaks and the tank for gunk. Like prestigious-iceberg77 asked, keep an eye out for weird smoke or RPM dips when it occurs, that might give us a clue.
