Battery recommendation for my Kubota SSV75

The skidsteer I got is a Kubota SSV75 2018 and it's a solid one. Cover my needs, maybe a bit overkills, but why not? Now I have a question about the battery. The one that's on it is probably the factory one and it's starting to show its age, so what are some good battery options for this thing?

I've been running a 2017 model on our orchard for years and swapping out the battery was one of the first things I did after a few cold starts got sketchy.

I ended up with an Odyssey 34-PC1500, pretty great cranking power and built to handle rough terrain. Just make sure the cold cranking amps meet or beat the original spec and double-check the terminal position so everything hooks up clean.

Thanks for the advice! I've got a 2016 we use on our farm, and the battery's been acting up especially when it's cold. Did the Odyssey last longer or charge faster than the old one? And did you need to change anything to make it fit right?

Skip the slim batteries. Stick to what matches OEM specs, 12 V, ~160 min, 900 CCA. That Group 31P battery seems like the same as the factory Kubota one (part number 77700‑00453), and it's easily found through dealers or parts sites.

I second @MA_Pahn's recommendation to stick with the Group 31P size! You want that 900 CCA to crank over that big diesel, especially when it's cold. You can find batteries with those specs at any big parts store, and they'll be a lot cheaper than the OEM Kubota part number, even if they're the same battery inside. Just make sure the terminals are in the right spot for your cables. Check your options with Interstate or Deka for a start!
