B7800 Starting Issues

I'm hoping someone can give some insight into why when trying to start the old guy there is one click sound then nothing. Battery is fully charged and in fact, it had started a couple times earlier in the day. Moved it, turned it off, than an hour or so later it's just the one click when turning the key. I can't really tell where the click noise is coming from on the engine.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

This one click then nothing deal is usually starter related either the solenoid is sticking, the starter itself is on its way out, or there's a poor connection somewhere and even if your battery is fully charged, check the battery terminals and ground connections, loose or corroded cable or so

yeah, that single click is a dead giveaway that your starter solenoid is the culprit.
The solenoid is basically a magnetic switch on top of the starter. When you turn the key, the magnet engages and makes a click sound, but for some reason, it's not making the final connection to send power to the starter motor.
It's a common issue with older starters, as the internal contacts can get worn or dirty.
The fact that it works when it's cold is a sign that something is expanding when it gets hot, breaking that final connection.
A good rap on the starter with a hammer or a wrench when it's acting up can usually free it and get it to start
