Winter attachments what do you use most on your Kubota?

As the weather changes, I've been changing up my attachments, and I've found that my rear blade has been getting the most use. I'm interested to know what tools everyone else depends on during the winter months.

Tough to top that combo, it handles just about everything winter can throw your way.

I spent two hours this morning blading and moving snow with my 3710. It took a while for the hydraulics to loosen up but once they did it was quite enjoyable even though it was 10 degrees outside. I had my coat unzipped and my gloves and stocking cap off and the radio playing. At one point I had to crack a window to cool off.

Nothing beats a warm cab with some tunes while clearing snow! I’m glad to hear the hydraulics finally woke up, sounds like that heater is definitely doing its job.

So true to Minnesota Winter we now have a half mile of glare ice to the mail box. I did order a set of tire chains for the rear wheels a while back but never thought I needed them. Now I guess I do if we get more snow on top of the ice. The chains I purchased were expensive, $600.00, and really heavy. I guess now I'll unpack them and put them on. Oh bother!

Our driveway is one half mile to the mail box. That does include a tenth of a mile of service road. It is solid ice all the way. I mean really slippery ice. I do drive a four wheel drive Bronco, but my wife has had to cancel clients because we're afraid they may get injured, so, last evening a friend came over with a truck full of rock salt and spread it the full length of the drive. (Can hardly wait for that bill). I have chains on my four wheeler but I guess I'd better chain up the Kubota, but wait, really cold today, next week it's supposed to be in the thirties. Maybe I'll wait for that. Procrastination is easy.......................

Wow, that sounds like quite the winter workout just to reach the mailbox! Great idea with the chains and salt better to be safe than sorry, even if procrastination is tempting. Stay warm out there!
