Staying warm when winter work hits hard

When winter work gets tough and the temps drop, I always turn to a few tried-and-true tricks I've learned over the years layering up, wearing good gloves, and taking quick warm-up breaks. I'm really curious about what everyone else does to stay cozy while working in the cold

Gloves that you can swap out have saved me on freezing workdays so many times. Keeping a dry pair in my truck and swapping them when the first set gets damp makes a big difference when it gets cold.

Honestly, after trying to tough it out through one too many winters, I made a small routine.I wear thermal base layers, some insulated bibs, and a thermos full of something hot in the truck. Throughout the day, I take quick warm-up breaks. This keeps me from turning into a popsicle.

After regretting powering through the cold in the past, especially on long shifts, I now prep ahead. I wear wool socks, put hand warmers in my pockets, and wear a windproof outer layer that blocks the chill. Winter work is now way more manageable because I step inside for a few minutes every hour.
