Hello all.
My L2600dt stars intermittently. Most times not. This is sudden, I’ve owned it approximately 5 years now and never a problem save jiggling the neutral switch every time to start it. Then suddenly wouldn’t start anymore, figured it was time to replace neutral switch. Same behavior, had battery, starter and alternator checked all good. How do I check ignition switch? And most importantly where are all the grounds located?
Thanks

The neutral switch is a solid first move since you were already fooling with it to get starts. Worth pulling the ignition switch though before you go further down the list. You can pull it and do a basic continuity check with a multimeter across the terminals when you turn the key through each position. Should show continuity in the start position and open in the off position. If it's jumping around or not consistent then that's your culprit. One thing I'd double check first though. When you had the battery tested did they load test it or just check the voltage. A battery can read fine sitting still and still be weak under the load of cranking. Since the starter and alternator checked out that's the next most likely spot. Got a photo of what you're working with.
