The bucket on my L3400 keeps slipping off. I checked the pins that hold it in place, and they were loose. Even when I tighten them completely, they don't seem to stay in place. I tried adjusting the springs, but it did not help. I compared my tractor to another, and it appears that the pins should be tightened. I tried several attachments, but they all had the same problem. I disassembled the pins to check for wear, but they appear to be in good condition.

Seeing as this post is from last year, I trust you have found a resolution for your SSQA issue.

Your diagnostic process was very thorough, successfully eliminating the attachments and the pins themselves as the primary variables. Since the pins are in good condition and the springs have tension, the focus should shift to the geometry of the quick attach plate itself. The most likely point of failure is the guide holes through which the pins pass on the loader's mounting plate.

Over many attachment cycles, these holes can become elongated or "wallowed out," which prevents the pins from achieving their full throw and proper engagement depth in the attachment slot. When you disassembled the mechanism, did you happen to measure the guide holes for any out-of-round wear? Also, have you inspected the linkage arms connecting the handles to the pins for any subtle bending or excessive play?
