Careful operation is your best insurance against anaccident. accident.Read and understand this section carefully beforeoperating the tractor.All operators, no matter how hv much experience theymay have had, should read this and other relatedmanuals belore operating ih manuals before operating the tractor or any implementattached to it. It is the owner's obligation to instruct alloperators in safe operation.1. BEFORE OPERATING THE TRACTOR1. Know your equipment and its limitations. Read thisentire manual before attempting to start andoperate the tractor.2. Pay special attention to the danger, warning and3.caution labels on the tractor itself.KUBOTA recommends the use of a Roll OverProtective Structures (ROPS) and seat belt in almostall applications. This T combination will reduce therisk of serious injury or death, should the tractor be isk or sendupset.tespuIf the ROPS is loosened or removed for any reason,make sure that all parts are reinstalled correctlybefore operating the tractor.Never modify or repair a ROPS because welding,bending, drilling, grinding, or cutting any portionmay ma weaken weaken the t structure. structure.A damaged ROPS structure must be replaced, notrepaired or revised. If any structural member of theROPS is damaged, replace the entire structure atyour local KUBOTA dealer.26.7.8.9.Carefully check the vicinity before operating tractoror any implement attached to it. Check foroverhead clearance which may interfere with aROPS. Do not allow any bystanders around or neartractor during operation.Before allowing other people to use your tractor,explain how to operate and have them read thismanual before operation.Never wear loose, torn, or bulky clothing aroundtractor. It may catch on moving parts or controls,leading to the risk of accident. Use additional safetyitems,e.g. hard hat, safety boots or shoes, eye andneang p hearing protection, gloves, etc., as appropriate orrequire required.Do not allow passengers to ride on any part of thetractor at anytime. The operator must remain in thetractor seat throughout operation.10. Check brakes, clutch, and other mechanical partsfor improper adjustment and wear. Replace worn Chooktha sihef or damaged parts promptly. Check the tightness ofall nuts and bolts regularly. (For further details, seeMaintenance section.)11. Keep your tractor clean. Dirt, grease, and trashaccumulations contribute to fires and lead topersonal injury.12. Use only implements meeting the specificationslisted under n listed under IMPLEMENT LIMITATIONS in thismanual and use only implements approved byKUBOTA.13. Use proper weights to front or rear of tractor toreduce uce the risk of upsets. When using the frontloader, put the implement or ballast on 3-pointniteh hitch to improve sta to improve stability. Follow the safe operating ne sale Operatingprocedures specified in the attached manual to theequipment.14. The narrower the tread, the greater the risk of atractor upset.
