Hey everyone, new member here. I'm hoping someone can help me with an issue I'm having with my BX2350. It's a 2008 model and it's been a great tractor, but for the last few weeks, it's been a real pain to start.

When I turn the key, all I hear is a single click from the starter solenoid. No crank at all. Sometimes it takes more than 10 tries turning the key on and off before it finally catches and starts up. It's frustrating, especially when I'm trying to get a job done.

I've already tried the basics. I cleaned the battery terminals and the ground connection, and I even installed a brand new battery last week. No change. The battery shows good voltage, and the cables seem fine. When I use jumper cables from my truck, it starts right up on the first try every time, which is what's really confusing me.

Has anyone else dealt with this? I'm trying to avoid a costly trip to the dealer if I can. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I think there may be weak connections in the starter relay and safety switches, you could do a relay mod so you can get full power to the solenoid

@west12121 Before you mess with the starter, have you checked the safety switches? On these models, the clutch pedal, PTO, and sometimes the brake pedal all have a safety switch that has to be fully engaged for the starter to get a solid signal. The wiring to those switches can get corroded over time, causing a voltage drop to the starter relay. It's an easy thing to check and a very common culprit for these symptoms
