ZG127E Steering – One Stick Too Sensitive!

My ZG127E zero turn mower is having trouble with the steering.

One of the steering sticks is super sensitive - it practically takes a whisper to move it! lol

Meanwhile, the other one feels totally chill and behaves normally. I’ve already swapped out the fluid and filters, but no luck fixing the issue.

Anyone out there dealt with this before or have any ideas on how to get it sorted? Thanks thanks.

Did you ever get that steering issue sorted last Oct or still working through it? On the ZG127E, uneven stick response can point to a linkage adjustment or a worn damper on the sensitive side. The workshop manual has a section on steering lever resistance that walks through checking spring tension and damper condition. If the damper's leaking or the spring's out of spec, it'll throw off the feel. You might also want to inspect the control arm bushings for wear while you're in there.

Uneven hydraulic pressure or a sticking control valve definitely. Check the steering cylinder and linkage for leaks or binding, and inspect the hydro pump for issues those often cause one side to feel twitchy while the other stays normal
