Hey, whether it’s mud season, a snowy winter, or anything else in between, what do you do to prevent slipping and sliding? I’d love to hear your top tire picks and traction tricks that actually work!

Chains are what I grab when it's slippery out. They go on fast and really dig into the mud or snow.

When I first got my Kubota, I didn't get how important good grip was. One winter, I kept sliding all over the place with those turf tires it was awful. I finally switched to R1 ag tires, and it made a big difference. They really dig in when it's muddy and do a much better job in snow. If it's super icy, I'll throw on chains, but honestly, just having the right tires has stopped me from getting stuck more times than I can remember.

The first thing we do with every tractor is water and RV antifreeze in the rears at least. It's very easy to do. We use 2 gallons of antifreeze per tire then fill to 80%-90% with water. Works great for traction and ballast. With that being said, we don't get a lot of ice in the winter and I've never had the need for chains.

Great tips here. Chains, AG tires, and even using RV antifreeze and water can really improve your traction. It’s a smart mix of strategies for handling whatever conditions you’re up against, mud, snow, or ice.

Haha, that's a great delivery story. Glad they made it in one piece.
