The best thorn resistant tires for L3000DT

My buddy likes to use his tractor roughly. He has this Kubota L3000DT 4WD with agricultural tires.
He’s planning to mow an area with thorny locust trees. I told him that R4 tires would be more thorn resistant, but he didn’t believe me.
What do you think, guys? Any other alternative for better tires?

If your buddy needs even tougher options, puncture proofing methods like liquid tire sealants or foam filling could add an extra layer of defense.

I've got a 2006 Kubota L3400 and I switched to R4 industrial tires, they're way tougher and handle thorns better than ag tires. Brands like Titan and Carlisle offer good R4s that hold up well in rough terrain.

Locust thorns will ruin any tire if you hit enough of them, but R4s at least give you a fighting chance. If he’s stubborn about keeping his ag tires, tell him to run Slime or a tire sealant made for farm equipment. That stuff really helps plug small punctures fast.
