Stumbling on downhill slopes

I've got a Kubota B7100 and I've had it for a year plus now, it fires right up and runs strong on flat ground, but I've noticed an odd issue whenever I head downhill, the engine starts to stumble a bit, almost like it's starving for fuel or losing steady flow but as soon as I'm back on level ground it smooths right out again.
Has anyone else had this with their tractor?, any pointers to what the potential problem might be please?

I had the same issue with my 1987 Kubota 2140 going downhill with a loaded trailer. The engine would stumble, like it wasn't getting fuel. Turned out there was a small crack in the fuel line near the filter. not leaking much, but enough to cause trouble.

I replaced the line, cleaned the injectors, and checked the air filter (it was packed with dust). After that, it ran way better, even on hills. If your 2140 acts up downhill, check the fuel lines, filter, and air intake. These old Kubotas are tough, just need a little care!

Yup, fuel pickup issue. On B7100, the fuel in the tank can slosh away from the intake when going downhill, especially if the tank isn’t full or the pickup/filter inside is partially clogged

sounds like a fuel pickup or fuel tank sediment issue! Start by checking the fuel tank screen and the primary fuel tap (petcock) at the bottom of the tank. Debris settles there, and going downhill causes the fuel flow to try and suck up that sludge, momentarily starving the engine. Clean or replace the screen, and flush the tank if it looks dirty

Also worth inspecting the tank vent if it’s clogged, it can create vacuum lock and restrict fuel flow especially on inclines.
