RTV 1100 cab on RTV900?

I'm hoping to get some input on a project. My dad's old 2007 RTV1100 is pretty much toast, but the factory cab is still in decent shape. I'm wondering if anyone has attempted to put an RTV1100 cab onto a 2007 RTV900? I know the hoods are different, but I'm curious if the overall cab mounting points or other dimensions are similar enough to make it a realistic swap with some modifications. He's gonna retire it soon so I thought I'd make the most of what's left. Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

From what I've read, the RTV1100 cab is a unibody design, so swapping it onto an RTV900 might be tricky but not impossible.The frame dimensions are close, but you'll likely need to modify the hood and mounting brackets.

If the cab swap ends up being a massive hassle, wouldn't it make more sense to just part out both machines and put the money toward a newer RTV? Are we being too sentimental here?
