You’re trying to fix your Kubota, thinking it’ll be a breeze, and then one tiny mistake turns into a whole afternoon of work and a lesson learned the hard way. What’s the mistake that taught you the most and helped you dodge trouble later on?

I thought I could just brute force the loader pins into place and that was a huge mistake. I ended up bending a pin and had to spend the afternoon figuring out a fix. Now I have way more respect for torque charts than I do for coffee on a Monday morning.

I wasted hours swapping out a hydraulic hose, only to find out I'd forgotten to bleed the system first. I learned my lesson: patience is key, and now I always double-check before jumping in.

I tried to skip the manual and just torque bolts by feel, which led to a leaky PTO cover. It was a hard lesson: stick to the specs, or you’ll find yourself cleaning up more than just your tools.

Dropped a bolt in the engine bay and ended up spending thirty minutes trying to fish it out, only to realize I hadn’t drained the fluid beforehand. These days, I make sure to label every step like a pro—or at least I give it my best shot.
