I have the L3710 with the power take off underneath to drive the front mounted snow blower, L2052. I purchased the unit with the blower a couple of months ago and they were delivered as two units. (Thee tractor currently has the loader on it). I have the drive shaft from the snow blower, and I have the drive shaft for the tractor, but how do the two link up. It seems there has to be a splined shaft to connect the two but I cannot find one on the parts diagram and it didn't come with one.
Again, I have the drive shaft that connects to the blower, and I have the longer shaft that connects to the tractor, but how do these two connect?

@Cooperhawk thanks for laying out the setup so clearly. The L2052 blower usually links to the mid PTO via a two-piece shaft system and you're right to expect a splined coupler or intermediate stub between the tractor-side and blower-side shafts. If it's missing from the parts diagram, it might be listed under a separate subassembly or accessory kit. Did the blower come off another L-series machine or was it matched new to your L3710?

I've been messing with the mid-mount PTO of my L3010 recently. This, because I've been fitting the belly mower, which came with it (tractor, belly mower, and brush hog were a 2nd hand purchase). I've reached the conclusion working beneath these is a total pain in the hind end. Especially at my age. Minor point being, I don't envy you having to do the work, and especially don't envy you living where you need to.

Meanwhile, when the installation manual led me to understand I could leave the belly mower in place and at the same time still retain use of the 3-point hitch (thus allowing me to use a flail mower without first removing the belly mower), I leapt for joy. But reaching this understanding was helped by others seeing what I was dealing with.

Major point being, because my agenda was advanced after posting this diagram from the manual (on another forum), I feel it would help others help you if you posted pictures or graphics of your setup.

If 2 sales reps had to get under the unit to sort it out, that tells me the install wasn’t straightforward from the start. Since you mentioned one shaft was hidden inside the mount, did they confirm whether the connection is a true slip fit or if there’s a locking collar you’ll need to service later? It might save you from having to crawl under again once winter work starts.

I appreciate the detailed follow-up. It’s a solid reminder that older models often come with hidden assemblies or those quirky legacy designs that newer manuals don’t always cover. Doing a ground-level inspection is essential, especially for under-mount components. I’m really happy to hear you got it all sorted.

Cooperhawk . . . speaking of the photos you shared, which they (Kubota) used to help you, how about sharing them here? This, so I (possibly others?) may have closure by gaining a better understanding of exactly what you were speaking of. No chance I'm buying a snow removal attachment, but I remain curious.

That, and I am thinking of the benefit to the next guy who runs into what you have who will have a complete thread with solution and won't have to post the same kind of request for help, which did.

These are the pictures I sent the dealer to identify the snow plow.
The first shows the 50 inch snow plow with hydraulic chute.
The second picture is the attachment that is mounted under the tractor and can be raised or lowered Hydraulically.
The third shows the front of the under attachment where the wedge shape is driven into the lower portion of the blower and latched.

What I did not understand was that I had two short drive shafts and I though I was missing a third that would connect them and make them reach from the PTO to the plow. What I did not realize is that there is a drive shaft installed in the under mount with a splined shaft protruding from the underneath at both ends that I could not see. Once we figured it out it all makes sense. You install the under attachment with the short drive shaft connecting it to the PTO, and the the other shaft connects she under attachment to the blower.
I could not see the drive shaft in the under attachment unless I lay on the ground and looked into both ends.
