Kubota BX2380 cylinder head O-ring mystery

I'm working on replacing the head gasket on my BX2380, and I noticed that the manual mentions an O-ring around the alignment pin, but I don't see one. The parts catalog also doesn't include it. Do you think it might be model-specific or possibly left out in newer versions?

Kubota has been known to update designs, so if the parts catalog doesn't show an O ring for your BX2380, it's likely not used on that model. I'd go by the catalog over the manual in this case

Some early BX series models used a small O-ring around the dowel to prevent coolant seepage during head installation but later models rely solely on gasket compression. Did your head have any trace of an O-ring groove or residue near the pin or was it clean?
