I have a z121skh mower. It has been a workhorse, very few issues. Yesterday while mowing , i stopped to pickup some limbs that had fallen. As i turned the mower blades on, it sounded like a bomb went off. Pulleys and belts went everywhere. Fortunately the drive belt was unbothered and i could het it back to the house. I took a look under the plate covering the pulleys and belts and said well thats a job for the mechanics. 3 week turn around he said, lady on the phone said one week. Time will tell

Ouch, that sounds brutal. At least the drive belt survived, but yeah, those pulley/cover repairs can be a nightmare with long waits. Fingers crossed they get it sorted faster than they're promising

A bad spindle bearing could be the cause. If it seizes, it might destroy belts or even send pulleys flying.

Yikes, sounds like the deck got seriously trashed and surely waiting on a three week repair is rough, but at least you got it back safely
