Hydraulic setup question for Kubota B2650

I'm interested in getting a 4-way hydraulic snowplow but unsure if I need to add a third function valve or if the loader's existing hydraulics will handle it. I'm new to this, any guidance would be great

If your loader only has standard lift and curl functions, you'll need a third function valve to run a 4-way hydraulic snowplow , as it requires its own set of hydraulics for angling. Some setups can use diverter valves, but adding a true third function is usually the cleanest and most versatile option.

@Sweet enid true that you'll need to add a third function valve. The loader on the B2650 is a two function system (up/down and curl/dump), and a 4 way plow requires two more separate functions for angling and tilting the blade.
You can't just T off the existing lines because the plow needs its own independent controls. Most third function kits for your model come with a button on the loader joystick that lets you control the plow's functions

I have a 2012 Kubota L3800 and I'm thinking about adding a 4-way plow to help smooth out my driveway. I'm wondering how easy those joystick button kits are to install, do they feel strong or kind of loose? Also, does adding the third valve slow down the loader when everything's working at the same time?

Most 4 way plows need a third function valve since standard loader hydraulics usually only do lift and tilt. Check if your loader has a joystick with auxiliary control, if not, you'll likely need to add the valve

A 4-way snowplow requires two separate hydraulic functions... one to raise and lower the blade, and a second to angle it from side to side.

On your Kubota B2650, the standard loader hydraulics will handle the first function which is raising and lowering the bucket/blade. But you will need to add a third function valve kit to control the angling of the snowplow. In short, you will definitely need to add a third function to your B2650. The investment is well worth it coz it will make your tractor a much more versatile machine for a variety of hydraulic attachments, not just your new snowplow.
