How often do you really change your front axle oil?

I used to just stick to the manual and not think twice about it, until that annoying grindy sound from the front end reminded me how important it is.

So, how frequently are you actually swapping out your front axle oil? Do you follow a set schedule, or do you wait until something goes wrong?

I’ve definitely been that person saying, It’ll be fine until my front end sounded like a box of rocks. I learned my lesson: I set a reminder for axle oil changes. Not exactly thrilling, but it sure makes for a quieter ride.

I used to just take my chances, only checking the axle when I heard some weird noise. I learned the hard way grinding sounds are hard to ignore. Now, I make it a point to check every season, no excuses.
