broken transaxle

Some internal pins of my 2017 BX2380 broke, got into the main gear, chewed up other gears and punched a hole in the bottom of the housing so my transaxle is broken! I ended up stripping the tractor down and it saved me around $1500. Otherwise, I would have spent almost $4000 when I took it to the shop for repair!

The foreman said that the differential lock could've caused this whole mess, just an FYI to other BX owners!

This makes me nervous lol, that's a lot of money. What labor were you doing when it broke?

Can't coment on the price, but I will tell you this, the foreman is right. Locking the diff is good for a handful of situations and running it locked constantly will cause stress on the drivetrain and lead to damage.

Now that's a pricey repair! Did the foreman give any more details about how the diff lock might have led to this failure?
