B7100HST-D PTO drive shaft removal help

Ive developed a seal leak on the PTO output shaft off the transmission. Fixing the seal should be easy if I can get the shaft out of there. There is a coupling aft of the tranny shaft with roll pin which was easy to remove. Now this collar/coupling has to slide fore or aft to get the shat moved enough to then remove this collar so the fitting on the rear of the tranny can be removed. I see on the collar an internal C clip which will be all fun to remove. I think that getting this clip out of there will allow the collar to slide out of the way.
Anyone had to do this? My manual does now cover it.
First mechanical issue with this over 25 year old machine.

Okay so that little C clip inside is what's holding everything up. Once you get that out the collar should come right off. Just be sure to check the shaft for any rough spots or rust that might be sticking. You could use a dental pick or some angled snap ring pliers to help get the clip out.

Just a heads up, be ready for a bit of a mess! Some setups might start leaking gear oil once that collar shifts. It’s a good idea to have some rags nearby to catch any spills.

Oh, and don’t forget to look for any shims or spacers hiding behind the collar. They can be tricky little things that like to stick around when you’re trying to take it all apart.
