Careful operation is your best insurance against anaccident.Read and understand this manual carefully beforeoperating the tractor.All operators, no matter how much experience theymay have, should read this and other related manualsbefore operating the tractor or any implementattached to it. It is the owner's obligation to instruct alloperators in safe operation.1. BEFORE OPERATING THE TRACTOR1. Know your equipment and its limitations. Readthis entire manual before attempting to start andoperate the tractor.2. Pay special attention to the danger, warning andcaution labels on the tractor.3. KUBOTA recommends the use of a CAB or RollOver Protective Structures (ROPS) and seat belt inalmost all applications. This combination willreduce the risk of serious injury or death, shouldthe tractor be upset.If the tractor is equipped with a foldable ROPS itmay be temporarily folded down only whenabsolutely necessary for areas with heightconstraints.(There is no operator protection provided by theROPS in the folded position. For operator safetythe ROPS should be placed in the upright andlocked position and the seat belt fastened for allother operations.)If the CAB or ROPS is loosened or removed forany reason, reason, make sure that all parts arereinstalled correctly before operating the tractor.Never modify or repair a ROPS because welding,bending, drilling, grinding, or cutting may weakenthe structure.A damaged CAB or ROPS structure must bereplaced, not repaired or revised.If any structural member of the CAB or ROPS isdamaged, replace the entire structure at yourlocal KUBOTA Dealer.4.5.6.7.8.9.Always use the seat belt if the tractor has a CAB orROPS.Do not use the seat belt if a foldable ROPS is downor there is no ROPS. Check the seat belt regularlyand replace if frayed or damaged.Do not operate tractor or any implement attached to itwhile under the influence of alcohol, medication,controlled substances or while fatigued.Carefully check the vicinity before operatingtractor or any implement attached to it. Check foroverhead clearance which may interfere with aCAB or ROPS. Do not allow any bystandersaround or near tractor during operation.Before allowing other people to use your tractor,explain how to operate and have them read thismanual before operation.Never wear loose, torn, or bulky clothing aroundtractor. It may catch on moving parts or controls,leading to the risk of an accident. Use additionalsafety items, e.g. hard hat, safety boots or shoes,eye and hearing protection, gloves, etc., asappropriate or required.Do not allow passengers to ride on any part of thetractor at anytime. The operator must remain inthe tractor seat during operation.10. Check brakes, clutch, and other mechanical partsfor improper adjustment and wear.Replace worn or damaged parts promptly. Checkthe tightness of all nuts and bolts regularly. (Forfurther details, see "MAINTENANCE" section.)11. Keep your tractor clean. Dirt, grease, and trash buildup may contribute to fires and lead to personal injury.12. Use only implements meeting the specificationslisted under "IMPLEMENT LIMITATIONS" in thismanual or implements approved by KUBOTA.13. Use proper weights on the front or rear of thetractor to reduce the risk of upsets. When usingthe front loader, put an implement or ballast onthe 3-point hitch to improve stability.Follow the safe operating procedures specified inthe implement or attachment
