The owner is obliged to informthe operators of these instruction in detail.Keep this manual in the storage place. (See"Keeping the Operator's Manual" in the Before Start section.)1. BEFORE OPERATION1. Make yourself acquainted with theexcavator and be aware of its limits.Read this operator's manual carefullybefore starting the excavator.2. Obey the danger, warning and cautionlabels on the machine.3. For your safety, a ROPS/OPG (Top GuardLevel I) with a seat belt is installed byKUBOTA. A ROPS: Roll-Over Protective Structure A OPG (Top Guard Level I): OperatorProtective Guards of Top Guard Level IOPG (Top Guard Level I) in accordancewith ISO10262 is equivalent in definitionto FOPS (Falling Object ProtectiveStructure).Always use the seat belt when themachine is equipped with a ROPS/OPG(Top Guard Level I) as this combinationwill reduce the risk of serious injury ordeath, should the excavator be upset orfalling objects occur.Do not modify any structural membersof the ROPS/OPG (Top Guard Level I)by welding, drilling, bending, grindingor cutting, as this may weaken thestructure.If any component is damaged, replaceit. Do not attempt repairs. If the ROPS/OPG (Top Guard Level I) is loosened orremoved for any reason, make sure allparts are reinstalled correctly. Tightenmounting bolts to proper torque.4. ROPS meets requirements of ISO 3471.OPG (Top Guard Level I) meetsrequirements of OSHA 1926·1003/ISO10262.5. The seat belt must be inspected regularlyand replaced if frayed or damaged.
