Favorite tools for chasing down electrical issues

You’re in the shed your Kubota is half taken apart and that mysterious fault is still giving you a hard time. Before you start making wild guesses, what meters, breakout boxes, or clever little tricks do you turn to for tracking down electrical problems more efficiently and with less frustration?

I just use a simple test light. If I need voltage info then I get my multi meter.

It has been my experience that if it's not a blown fuse then I go straight to the ground. I have found more problems with ground than anything else. If that's not it, then we get technical.
