Advice needed: zero-turn vs lawn tractor

I'm looking to purchase a new mower and I'm torn between a zero-turn and a traditional lawn tractor.

I've been eyeing a 42-inch zero-turn, and I love the idea of the time savings, but I also need to be able to do some light hauling around the yard. I have a small aluminum utility trailer that I'd use to move some gardening supplies or mulch, and in the fall, I'd want to use a lawn sweeper to clean up leaves. I've read somewhere that the transmission on the zero-turn isn't as robust as the ones in dedicated lawn tractors, and I'm worried about whether it can handle the extra stress of pulling a trailer and a sweeper regularly.

So that made me think if I would be better off getting something like a T2290 lawn tractor? It's an investment so I just want to get it right the first time and not have to worry about premature wear and tear. Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

If hauling and attachments are a regular part of your routine, the T2290 or a similar lawn tractor is the safer bet, zero turns aren't really built for towing

If you plan to haul trailers or a leaf sweeper regularly, a lawn tractor is safer, zero turns aren't built for heavy towing. For just mowing, the zero turn is great, but for versatility and durability, go tractor
